💚💚My green flags💚💚 Ok, some of these are a bit beige but.. 🤣
✅ Low deposit - my business cashflow is stable
✅ Every booking is secured with a contract so we're clear on what I'm providing and what I need from you
✅ Max 6-8 week turnaround on photos - enough time to produce quality edits, but I stay on top of my work
✅ I use multiple cameras, multiple memory cards and multiple cloud backups - I've never lost a photo
✅ I never delete anything or throw anything away. Want your photos or video from 6 years ago? No probs
✅ I will not keep you from your wedding guests any longer than I need to on your day - give me 30mins for group photos and 20mins for portraits and you can get back to the party
✅ I'm always happy to talk about your plans for the day
✅ I plan and prepare obsessively
✅ I always reply to messages quickly
✅ I work well with others and bring in help if your wedding needs someone with a second camera to get a specific shot
✅ I'm open to criticism, I don't run from problems and I learn from my mistakes. If anything doesn't quite go to plan or there is anything you're not happy with, I'll address it
✅ I don't do crazy offers and discounting, but I also don't have hidden charges or try and upsell you extras
Common Red flags to watch out for when you're booking wedding vendors...
🚩 Discounts for full payment or cash payment up front - suggests cash flow issues
🚩 Unrealistically low pricing - hang around the wedding industry a while and you'll see these people come and go (or mature and raise their prices)
🚩 Next day delivery of the final gallery or video - AI has made it quicker, but it still takes time to edit
🚩 Inconsistency in editing styles
🚩 No reviews, negative reviews or reviews that name lots of different photographers?!
🚩 Awards from some of the known "pay and win" promotion companies (Global Business Awards!)
I still have some availability for weddings in 2025 and 2026 and have weekly availability for portraits, headshots and pet photography :D
