Just come up for air after a weekend’s editing (with more to do).
It’s been a busy, beautiful, stressful few days, including a wedding, venue visit and baby shower.

This lovely pair of humans revealed to their friends and family that they are expecting a baby girl. Many (including mom-to-be) predicted a boy so the surprise was off the charts!

Here’s the moment of the big reveal. It always gives me goosebumps to see a client use one of my photos as their cover photo. Good luck Beth & El!

September is set to be a busy month for me and I'm ready for it! Autumn gives me the excuse to hunt for new knitwear and boots, take long walks, feast on apple bakes and enjoy good coffee and real ale.
Luckily for me, this September's couples are outdoorsy Autumn people. They love nature, paddle boarding, backpacking, camping and dogs!
I've revisited these woodland elopement photos to create earthy tones that perfectly complement the changing of the seasons.

It's never too early to mention Spooky Season in my humble opinion. I would love a Halloween wedding, but so far this has evaded me.

The story behind the photo.

Jess wanted a photo of her bridal party showing off their Converse shoes. I spotted a trailer full of hay bales and suggested that it could make a perfect sofa and be a good fit for their festival vibe. Trust me, this bridal party needed no further encouragement!
As we all focussed on getting everyone into position, no one spotted a few of the groomsmen approaching the trailer from behind.
There were a few brief moments of confusion before the laughter kicked in.
I kept going throughout as it's often these moments that become the most memorable...and despite the best efforts of the groom and his eager accomplices, we got there in the end.

I don't just cover weddings!
I'm excited to be capturing an event at this weekend.
In a world of Al, screens and fake just about everything, it's good to remind myself that I have a living, breathing community of creatives on my doorstep; talented and passionate people who make exquisite things with their hands, curate them beautifully and nurture and promote an interest in our heritage.
We have a lot to celebrate in this part of the Black Country and glassblowing is about as authentic as it gets!
