Those little smiles, bright eyes and tiny expressions are exactly why I love sitter sessions so much.

This stage passes by so quickly - when they are sitting confidently, full of personality and becoming more curious about everything around them. It is such a lovely age to capture before they are suddenly on the move.

I keep my sitter sessions simple and timeless, with soft colours, pretty outfits and minimal styling so the focus stays exactly where it should be - on your little one and all those expressions you know and love.

I’m a Children’s photographer based in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, specialising in capturing these little milestones and creating photographs for families to keep long after this stage has passed.

There’s lots happening over the next few months, so here’s a little guide to what’s coming up at Kerry Jones Photography.
From those gorgeous autumn colours to the start of the Christmas magic, this is always one of my favourite times of year to photograph families and children.
Autumn mini sessions will be running throughout September and October, with packages from £149. There are also selected dates available for my usual studio portraits before the studio is transformed for Christmas.
Then we head into the festive season with some really special experiences - Reindeer Minis on Sunday 4th October, Grinch Minis on Sunday 29th November and Christmas Minis on Sunday 6th December.
Whether you’d love some relaxed autumn family photographs, timeless studio portraits or something a little more magical for Christmas, there’s something for everyone over the coming months.

Christmas mini sessions are now booking...
One of my favourite times of the year is returning to the studio, and this year's Christmas set is all about those warm, traditional festive memories.
These sessions are perfect for capturing how little your children are right now - the smiles, personalities and excitement that make Christmas with children so special.
Whether you are looking for beautiful photographs for Christmas cards, gifts for grandparents, something new for your walls, or simply photographs to look back on as they grow, these sessions are designed to give you something to keep long after Christmas has passed.
Each Christmas mini includes up to a 30 minute session, 5 beautifully edited photographs and an online gallery. Other Christmas packages are also available if you would like a little more from your session.
I am a Children's photographer based in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, and my Christmas mini sessions are always incredibly popular, so availability is limited.

Our Grinch mini sessions are all about fun, cheeky moments and plenty of personality. Seeing the children’s reactions and watching them interact with the Grinch makes these sessions so much fun to photograph - and creates Christmas memories that are a little different from the traditional festive portrait.

I love creating children’s photography that captures their personalities just as they are, whether they are feeling brave, a little unsure, or completely ready to make friends with the Grinch.

Loved capturing beautiful little Emilia...
There is something so special about those first newborn days - the tiny details, sleepy expressions and the way they curl up so naturally. They change so quickly, and it is always a privilege to capture this little chapter for families.
Emilia was an absolute dream to photograph, looking so peaceful wrapped in soft, neutral tones.
My newborn sessions are calm and baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles along the way. There is never any need to rush.

These sessions are designed for families who want festive photographs for cards, gifts and their own memories without organising a full shoot.

The biggest worry I hear before an outdoor family photoshoot isn't usually the weather.
It's everything else.
Parents tell me they're worried that the children won't behave, nobody will smile, dad won't enjoy it, someone will get tired halfway through, or that they don't look like the families they see online.
The truth is, every family has those thoughts.
Children are meant to run, explore, cuddle, laugh, wander off for a minute and sometimes decide they've had enough. That's not something to fix. It's part of their personality, and it's often where the most meaningful photographs come from.
The best family photographs are never about everyone looking perfectly at the camera. They're about the hugs, the kisses, the hand holding, the laughter and the little moments that happen naturally when you're simply together.
As a Family photographer based in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, I keep every session relaxed and child led. There is no pressure to perform or behave in a certain way. We take our time, follow your children's lead and create photographs that feel genuine rather than posed.
Years from now, your children won't remember whether they smiled perfectly. They'll remember being cuddled by mum, carried by dad, racing around the park and spending time together. Those are the memories worth holding on to.
