A while ago I saw fantastic picture of a fox taken by Dan Dinu and wanted to have one in my gallery.
Who would have thought that this picture could have been taken in my back garden.

Whitby Abbey was a 7th-century Christian monastery that later became a Benedictine abbey. The abbey church was situated overlooking the North Sea on the East Cliff above Whitby in North Yorkshire, England, a centre of the medieval Northumbrian kingdom. The abbey and its possessions were confiscated by the crown under Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Monasteries between 1536 and 1545.

Bram Stoker found some of his inspiration for 🦇'Dracula'🦇 after staying in Whitby in 1890. He stayed in a house on the West Cliff and was trying to decide whether it would be suitable for a family holiday.

Stoker's Dracula 🧛‍♂️ is shipwrecked off the Yorkshire coast, he is actually on his way to London on the Russian schooner, Demeter. He comes ashore in the guise of a black dog and wreaks havoc on the town.

In short, Whitby provided Bram Stoker with an atmospheric backdrop to his novel 📚❤️, a quiet place to indulge in a little library research and a place to have a wonderful family seaside holiday.😊❤️

I have recently visited Cornwall- it was like travelling to a different country.
Get ready for some great pictures taken during my visit.

Historically, St Michael's Mount was a Cornish counterpart of Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, France (with which it shares the same tidal island characteristics and the same conical shape, though it is much larger, at 57 acres [23 ha], than Mont St Michel which covers 17 acres [6.9 ha]).

St Michael's Mount is one of 43 unbridged tidal islands that one can walk to from mainland Britain. Part of the island was designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1995 for its geology.
