A few Stills from the North Point Shopping Centre.

I really enjoyed filming North Point. I as always speak with staff of what ever im filming before hand and i have got to say that the staff at the north Point Shopping Centre were by far the most helpfull and accomadating.

Also had a chat with Pete a local in the Centre who wanted my to post a photo from the drone with him in it.

Fort Paul was a gun battery situated on the north bank of the river humber, near the village of Paull.

Batteries have been built at Paull as far back Henry VIII, Charles I during the Civil Warduring the siege of Hull and the Napoleonic Wars.
The First fort built on the site was startted in 1542 with a capacity of 12 guns. The current fort is of a pentagonal design and was built in 1861-4 on the recommendations of tthe Royal Commission, hence it is one of the Palmerston Forts.

At the outset of the First World War, Paull was juged to be to close to Hull, so was disarmed when new forts were built at Sunk Island and Stallingborough. The fort was used as a training base between World War One and the Second World War.
In the Second World War it was converted into a magazine to serve the Russian convoys; a degaussing station was also added.

In 1960 Fort Paull was releaased by the Minisrty of Defence and closed.

in 1964 a group of volunteers called Friends of Fort Paull took over the site and began to restore the fort as a heritage museum.

in 2000 the fort was opened to the public and held many events including WW2 reenactments biker weekends, Pirate weekends and much more. But sadly closed in 2020.
