With everyone jumping on the 2016 trend right now, I thought it would be a good time to look back and reflect on what essentially was the real start of my photography.

In 2016 I was 16 years old, and barely knew anything about the little point and shoot camera I was using. I photographed my cousins wedding, along side their photographer, and had the opportunity to handle a full DSLR for the first time.

Sometimes I feel like I’m still at that level in my photography, then I look back at some of the photos that came out of 2016, and can really see how much I’ve improved. My knowledge and understanding of the camera, angles, and editing has come so far.

Here are a handful of photos that came out of 2016, some of which I’m still really happy with.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get these photos up!🙈

This shoot was won by Claire last Christmas where she correctly guessed the name of the elf! It may have taken us a year to get our schedules aligned but I am so glad we did!

Taking these at Luminate at Sandringham was a new challenge for me, shooting in low light conditions, keeping the lights in focus as well as the gorgeous couple stood in front of them.

I’m so incredibly happy with how these came out, thank you Claire & Wayne for the chance to expand my horizons!

Still got some photos to post from the awesome shoot at Luminate, so expect those over the Christmas break, but that is me done for the year!

Looking forward to starting the year off with a bang, capturing my best friends wedding in the first week of January!
