A Clumber Spaniel winning Best in Show at Crufts… what a moment!

With a Clumber Spaniel named Bruin taking Best in Show at Crufts yesterday, it felt like the perfect time to share this portrait of Oakley.

I’m genuinely delighted to see a vulnerable native breed like the Clumber take the spotlight. They’re wonderful, gentle dogs, yet strong and highly capable gundogs. Hopefully this moment brings some well-deserved awareness to a truly special breed.
Oakley owned by Simon and Helen was an absolute pleasure to photograph, and he perfectly shows that calm, noble expression the breed is known for.

Meet Bonnie 🤍Beautiful young fox red working lab.
We’re often asked how we achieve the look and feel of our portraits. The answer is simple — it’s a technique refined over years of professional experience, no shortcuts and definitely not AI.
We take the time to put every dog at ease, working patiently to capture real character rather than rushing for numbers. For us, it’s always quality over quantity.
We would never pressure any client to choose us over another photographer — that’s simply not who we are.
What we do believe in is the value of true craftsmanship. No quick setup or AI image can replace the care, skill, and connection that goes into creating a portrait like this.

We've had alot of wet weather this Autumn which meant we couldn't go ahead with many autumnal sessions but when it was dry at the start of November we did make the most of it. Some dogs run… George takes flight!

This little bundle of energy spent the whole session racing through the woods with ears flapping and paws barely touching the ground. Pure joy captured mid-air.

One of the best parts of photographing dogs is freezing these blink-and-you-miss-it moments — the ones that show their spirit so perfectly.
