Just an hour by train outside of Rome is the beautiful hill town of Tivoli. Perched above the Aniene River and the Roman Campagna, it is famous for its cooler hill climate and three major historical sites: the Renaissance gardens of Villa d'Este, the vast ruins of Roman Emperor Hadrian’s Villa Adriana, and the dramatic waterfalls of Villa Gregoriana.

Villa d'Este is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its architecture and terraced water garden. A stunning day trip if you're near Rome.

I was blessed to get to visit Rome last week. Not only was it my first family holiday with my kids but the Colosseum was a massive bucket list item.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I was overwhelmed with emotion when I got up to the top Attic level. Maybe it was because it felt like I had the place to myself, maybe it was the relief that all the planning had come through or maybe it was the gravitas of knowing what these walls had witnessed. Either way it was a special moment I will never forget ❤️🇮🇹📸

For years I've been hoping to get the chance to photograph Fastnet Lighthouse. Never did I imagine I'd get such amazing weather and calm seas.

Fastnet Lighthouse is a 54-meter (177-foot) tower located on a remote, jagged rock in the Atlantic Ocean. Often called "Ireland's Teardrop," it marks the southernmost point of Ireland. The rock earned its famous nickname because it was the final glimpse of Ireland for 19th-century emigrants sailing across the Atlantic to North America. The current stone marvel was completed in 1904 by the Commissioners of Irish Lights and remains the tallest and widest rock lighthouse in Ireland and Great Britain.
