The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) operates a historic Douglas C-47 Dakota (serial number ZA947)

Dakota ZA947 was built in 1942 and the aircraft took part in paratropping operations on D-Day, casualty evacuations, and resupply missions.

Listen to the old MIG17 ramp up for take off🙂 I used to draw these jets being blown out of the sky by RAF Tornados or Harriers as an 80’s kid because of the threat of a Cold War with Russia 🇷🇺 🚀🔥
