📸 Out on location last night with our Level 3 Photography students!

The group focused on the key elements that help create outstanding images: choosing the right camera mode, selecting the best settings for the scene and exploring the most important aspect of photography; strong subject matter and composition.

Despite the forecast predicting rain, the weather had other ideas. The clouds cleared to reward us with a stunning sunset, providing the perfect opportunity to put skills into practice and capture some beautiful images.

We’ve been a little quiet on social media recently and for good reason!

Our schedule has been fully focused on 1-2-1 individual photography sessions, launching the next Level 3 group and getting stuck into our Exposed Photography Club Summer Walks, which are now in full flow.

This week’s Summer Walk is all about Wildlife Photography, led by James — a great opportunity to develop patience, timing and observation skills out in the field. The image featured in this post is a great example of James’ work.

It doesn’t matter what level of photography you are at; whether you’re just starting out or already more experienced, if you simply enjoy taking photos on your phone or camera, why not join Bedford’s newest and most exciting Photography Club?

Last week, our Level 3 group focused on on-location shooting, exploring how to achieve high image quality and control depth of field in real-world environments.

It was fantastic to see how much their knowledge, confidence, and passion for photography have grown since they first started at Level 1.

This group is now working steadily towards exhibiting their work in a public gallery over the next few months; an exciting milestone that reflects just how far they’ve come.

What a fantastic start to the latest Level 3 course at Bedfordshire School of Photography! 📸

On Tuesday we started with a completely full group of students and over the coming months, these photographers will be working towards something truly special; exhibiting their work in a town centre gallery open to the public.

Putting your photography on display for the public to see is a brave thing to do, but the confidence boost these students will gain when they achieve their exhibition will be immense.

What makes this even more inspiring is that every single student began their journey on our Level 1 course as a complete beginner. Several months later, they are now working towards something they once believed they could never achieve.

We’re now looking forward to weeks of location photo shoots, creative projects and summer photography adventures as the students continue developing their own personal style and confidence behind the camera.

What a fantastic evening at our latest Kit & Click night! 📸

A huge thank you to for hosting such a successful event, as always, they looked after us brilliantly with refreshments and a warm welcome throughout.

Members had the opportunity to get hands-on with Canon cameras, explore new gear and see live demonstrations of printing their images on Canon printers. It was a great chance to ask questions, learn from industry experts, and connect with others who share the same passion for photography.

With this event, our Kit & Click season has come to a close for the summer months, but we’re just getting started! From May through to September, we’ll be running our Summer Photo Walks, meeting twice a month to get out, shoot and learn together in a relaxed, social environment. It’s a brilliant way to build confidence, develop your skills, and be part of a supportive photography community.

Last night at Exposed Photo Club we had our monthly Guest Presenter Evening 📸✨

A huge thank you to guest presenter James photofever

James is an Online Photogrpahy Educator with a massive social media following, who delivered an incredible presentation on identifying and using colour in photography. It really got everyone thinking differently about how we see and shoot.

Here’s just a bit of the feedback from members:

Last night was something special. 🔥📸

Our very first Kit & Click event took place with and it was everything Exposed Photo Club is about… hands-on, inspiring and genuinely fun.

Members got their hands on an incredible range of Fujifilm cameras, not just to look at… but to use. To experiment. To step outside their comfort zone. To simply go out and shoot.

No pressure. No rules. Just pick up a new camera to discover and enjoy.

From complete beginners to experienced photographers, everyone was out there trying new kit, learning new skills, and seeing photography in a fresh way; exactly what our club is built for.

A huge thank you to John and the team at Wex for the warm welcome, drinks, nibbles, and for giving our members access to such amazing gear. And of course, to Fujifilm for showcasing what their system can really do.

A couple of members even went home with brand new cameras… safe to say temptation won 😄📷

But more than anything, nights like this prove one thing…
this isn’t your typical photography club.

No judging.
No competitions.
No pressure.

Just a community of people who love photography, learning together, and pushing each other to grow.
