I’ve been asked a few times if I could share a link to a post about the exhibition on the outcomes of home education that we had in parliament during the last schools bill in 2022, for people to look at and share.
I hope this helps anyone attempting to explain to people who question what home educated children go on to do as adults.
Heuristic outcomes was a multimedia project I undertook in 2022, where I photographed and interviewed 60 adults who had been home educated as children, showing what they had gone on to do as adults , questioning what success ‘was’ and what that looks like to different people.
Now I’m back working again I plan on posting the individual images and interviews on the website over the coming weeks and months. There will also be a 360 walk through of the exhibition shared as well.
The exhibition was made possible by the incredible generosity of the home educating community and our family and friends , who raised over £12,000 to help me get it to parliament. The community pulling together like that will forever be one of the most beautiful and proud moments of my life. I was and remain still, 4 years later, forever in awe of all your kindness and the trust the community placed in me ❤️
