Hello! 😊

My name is David and I was born in the picturesque county of Cornwall in the South West of England. After completing a B.A (Hons) Degree in Illustration at Swindon College/Cranfield University in Wiltshire, England, I continued my studies with a HNC in Multimedia Design, where I learnt about editing photos digitally using Photoshop, graphic design, web design and other areas of computer-

based design. While I was studying at college, I learnt the techniques of using a traditional 35mm camera and film and developed photos in the darkroom. During this time, I became interested in black and white photography due to the striking imagery that is created from the interplay and contrast between light and shadow. I enjoy taking photos of different subjects and areas, particularly landscapes. I have a 360 degree camera and enjoy taking 360 degree photos and videos. From this, I like to create interesting, artistic tiny planet photos and videos which you can see examples of on this page. I have photographed various people and models over the years, including Charlotte Holmes who became a Finalist for Britain's Next Top Model 2010 and then went on to represent the U.K in the Miss World competition by becoming Miss England 2012. I have also worked with Lisa Ann Hillman who was a finalist from Britain's Next Top Model 2009. During the two years I was a Plymouth Calendar Girls Photographer, I took photos at various charity events and carried out photo shoots, including at the test shoot day, where I photographed over 100 prospective models over 12 hours. I was a photographer for a local Help For Heroes charity calendar based in Cornwall in 2012 where I carried out the photo shoots for the months of August and October. I was behind the scenes photographer for South West's Top Model and an official event photographer for Dolly Rocker 2011 (Miss Alternative Cornwall). In 2012, I was one of the photographers involved in a charity modelling competition called England's Top Model 2012. During the photo shoot day which was set in Cornwall, I photographed twenty prospective models for the fashion photo shoot set. I was the event photographer at the final, which was held in London. I also carried out a photo shoot for the month of June for the Alternative Calendar Girls Devon and Cornwall 2013 Calendar and I was behind the scenes and event photographer at the launch night based in Newquay.
