✨ A little life update, and a big sigh of relief! ✨
Last Monday evening, Max gave me the absolute scare of my life. We were snuggled up watching a bit of Love Island when, completely out of the blue, his mouth started bleeding profusely. It just wouldn’t stop. I managed to slow it down a few times, but it kept starting again, and it was clear the blood just wasn’t clotting properly.
We rang the emergency vets, and they saw us within 30 minutes. We arrived with Max still bleeding, and they whisked him out back straight away. After what felt like the longest hour of my life, they told us the bleeding had finally stopped. The vet suspected a rotting tooth may have hit a blood vessel and recommended urgent surgery to prevent it from happening again.
He was booked in for surgery that Thursday, but when I checked him in, the vet gently warned me that bleeds like that could also point to something more serious, possibly even a tumour. If that was the case, we’d be looking at palliative care 💔
I spent the entire day anxiously waiting for that call, knowing no news probably meant good news, and finally, around 3pm, the phone rang. Max was okay! He had a few teeth removed, but there was no tumour, and he was going to be absolutely fine. I’ve never felt such relief in my life 🥹
He’s now recovering well and being thoroughly spoilt 💛
On a lighter note, I’m also putting the finishing touches on Iain & Sheeba’s gorgeous wedding gallery today, and can’t wait to deliver it to them. YAY!
