Most of the country spent the weekend enjoying a heatwave.
Snetterton, naturally, responded by adding mist, thick cloud and then just to keep everyone on their toes threw a brief rain shower into the mix.
Despite the weather's identity crisis, the latest 750 Motor Club meeting delivered two days of typically frantic racing featuring everything from Formula Vees and F1000s to MX-5s, MR2s, Porsches, BMWs, Mighty Minis, Locosts and the Armed Forces Race Challenge.
There was plenty of action, plenty of overtaking, and I'm assured by those who saw it, plenty of drama. My camera, as usual, was pointing in entirely the wrong direction whenever any of that happened.
So here's a drama-free taster of what to expect when the individual galleries appear on my website over the next few days.

Silverstone hosted the HSCC last weekend, with the 750 Motor Club appearing as the support act. Which is a bit like asking Oasis to warm up for the village hall ukulele society, because the 750MC turned up with rather a lot more cars than everybody else.
Roadsports, Club Enduro, Sport Specials and Sports 1000 all took to the full Grand Prix circuit, sharing the bill with British F4 and a wonderfully bonkers two-hour race for 1960s GT cars. Think E-Types, AC Cobras, Lotus Elans and other machinery that looks far too valuable to be driven that enthusiastically.
And, because apparently there wasn't already enough mechanical theatre, there was even a flypast by a Second World War B-17 Flying Fortress. Which is not something you see every day.
Naturally, I pointed a camera at all of it.
Here's a small pictorial look back at the weekend. The full galleries from the two-day meeting are now available on the website: https://jonelseyphotography.photoshelter.com/gallery-collection/750-Motor-Club-2026-Silverstone-GP/C0000UQzo7rV_uhs

A 13-hour round trip to spend two days standing in a field during a heatwave photographing noisy little cars repeatedly going past at alarming speed.
Which is either living the dream or evidence that something has gone very wrong somewhere.
Either way, the latest 750 Motor Club visit to Pembrey delivered club racing at its absolute best. Eight championships, endless close racing, and what may genuinely have been the biggest grid the circuit has ever seen - so many cars, in fact, they had to paint extra grid markings just to fit them all in

Here’s a quick postcard from the weekend. Full galleries for each championship will be heading to the website shortly.

Another five ‘enhanced hero shots’ to add to the collection.
Featuring cars from the 750 Motor Club's Clio Sport, Club Enduro, Ma7da, Classic Stock Hatch and Swift Sport Challenge championships. This batch is a mix of styles and locations, with three inspired by last weekend's trip to Silverstone.
If you’d like something similar created for your own car - past or present - just drop me a message. If I’ve got photos in the archive, I can put something together for you.

A quick look back at last weekend’s 750 Motor Club meeting at Silverstone. 11 championships, 22 races, and a huge variety of machinery across the two days, from single-seaters and historics to sports cars, saloons and one-make categories.
The racing on the National layout was close and competitive throughout and here’s a small retrospective selection from the action-packed meeting.
Full galleries for all categories are now available on the website.

Five more from the ‘enhanced / creatively edited’ collection, all inspired by recent 750 Motor Club trips to Brands Hatch - where perfectly normal race photos have been given a slightly less normal treatment.
Same cars… just with a bit more drama dialled in.
If you’d like something similar created for your own car, past or present, just drop me a message. If it’s in the archive, it can be reimagined.

Thirty four GT3 cars thundering around Brands Hatch is, as it turns out, is quite a lot of cars.
And while Valentino Rossi might grab most of the attention, he wasn’t the only one out there, with many other BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin, Audi and Porsches in the two GT World Challenge Europe races, all equally determined to make some noise (and occasionally, a point).
The result? A colourful, slightly chaotic blur of very fast machinery doing exactly what it was built to do.
In amongst all that, I attempted to keep up with a camera.

Six hours is a long time in motor racing. Long enough, for example, to question your life choices, drink several overpriced coffees, and wander for miles in search of something mildly interesting while waiting for the next 750 Motor Club Roadsports Championship track action.
Luckily, at Brands Hatch, “mildly interesting” turned out to be Valentino Rossi racing a BMW M4 GT3 as part of the GT World Challenge Europe.
So, naturally, I pointed the camera at that instead. Here are a few shots from Valentino’s latest attempt to prove he’s annoyingly good at everything.

The 750 Motor Club Roadsports Championship tackled the full Grand Prix layout at Brands Hatch yesterday, a rare outing and a real test for cars and drivers alike.
Part of a huge weekend supporting the GT World Challenge Europe, with Valentino Rossi in the paddock… not a bad setting for some club racing.
Here’s a small selection from the 45-minute race...
