🦉📸 300 MILES, ATROCIOUS WEATHER & 24 HOURS WITHOUT SLEEP!

Was it worth it?…… I think so! 😁

An incredible nocturnal wildlife photography adventure in Lincolnshire, travelling over 300 miles in some truly atrocious weather, followed by a long night behind the camera and nearly 24 hours without sleep

And Mother Nature certainly didn't disappoint!

One of the highlights was this magnificent **Grey Heron**, captured at the perfect moment with a freshly caught fish in its beak, water droplets falling and a beautiful reflection on the still water.

Photographing wildlife at night using specialist flash lighting brings a whole new dimension to wildlife photography. Every movement, every sound and every appearance is full of anticipation.

Absolutely exhausted by the end of it — but experiences like this remind me exactly why I love wildlife photography.

300 miles, 24 hours without sleep and memories that will last a lifetime. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat! ❤️📸

A curious face appearing through the waves! 🦭 I love how this seal’s whiskers and bright eyes stand out against the swirling water.

A little seal fact: the UK is home to two native species, grey seals and harbour seals. Their sensitive whiskers help them detect movement in the water, which can guide them towards fish. Grey seals are remarkable divers too; they can stay underwater for up to 30 minutes

🦌 **Deer Rut Wildlife Photography Workshop – Helmingham Hall**

Join **John Boyle and Shaun Pook** for an early-morning photography workshop capturing the magnificent red deer during the autumn rut.

This is a wonderful opportunity to photograph impressive stags in the beautiful surroundings of Helmingham Hall. We’ll help you with camera settings, focusing, composition and getting the best from the changing morning light.
