Wednesdays Wedding Facetime 💍

On Wednesday evening, I had the pleasure of speaking to a lovely couple who have just started planning their wedding for next year ❤️

I was there, being as professional as I can, having a good, relaxed chat with them both about their special day,

Then... there's a knock on the door...

Incomes my son, asking for supper, did he actually want supper? No... he just wanted to see who I was speaking to 🤣

Thankfully, the lovely couple weren't bothered by the interruption and we carried on with the meeting.

Being a mum of young kiddos, these things happen, what will also happen is me replying at all hours of the morning to messages while I am up with my near 5 month old 🙈, so expect the odd 3am reply.

I later got a message to say that the couple liked my vibes and that they would like to book me for their wedding!

THEY LIKED MY VIBE ✨️ 😁

I was delighted with that wee sentence and I can't wait to be part of their special day in a new location!

Wedding number 2 officially booked for 2027 🥰

🎄 Christmas photoshoots are looking a little different this year… 🎄

I’ve been thinking about Christmas shoots for this year, and I’ve decided to do things a little differently. Whos shocked? 😅

No studio sessions, and no worrying about whether the Scottish weather is going to behave for an outdoor shoot!

Instead, I’m bringing the photoshoot to you and your home. 🏡

Think cosy, relaxed Christmas photos in the place where you’re already making memories, surrounded by your decorations, your Christmas tree and all the little things that make Christmas feel like Christmas to your family.

We could capture things like:
🎄 Decorating the tree
🍪 Baking (and eating!) Christmas goodies
🎨 Christmas crafts or activities
🎁 Wrapping presents
☕ Cosying up together
🐾 Pets joining in
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family gatherings and Christmas get-togethers
❤️ Including family members who might not be able to travel to a studio shoot

What I love most about this idea, there’s no need to make everyone sit still and smile at the camera, as you all know I love the real moments!

These will be much more relaxed, unhurried sessions where we can let things happen naturally. The kids can be themselves, the dog can wander in and out, grandparents can join in, and we can capture all those little moments that you’ll want to remember.

And because I’m not working to fixed studio times, I can be much more flexible with days and times, finding something that works around your family rather than trying to fit everyone into one set timeslot.

Christmas at home is where so many of the best memories happen anyway… so why not capture it? ❤️

Hello September 👋

How are we in September already!
This year needs to have a word with itself and slowwww down!

I have been busy over here,
Enjoyed attending my first market in Thurso over the weekend, was lovely to see everyone Abbeycrafts providing the laughs everytime we see her ❤️

I'm enjoying being back in the world of Marketing, while some find it all overwhelming at times, I'm over here living my best life 🤣

WHY ARE YOU SO NOSY?! 🤥

Why I ask so many questions when I start working with a client...

When you first work with me, it can feel like I’m asking you a million questions! I'm not just being nosy, honest 😂

There’s a good reason why I do it,

I don’t want to just jump in, create a few posts and tell you to “post more"...

I want to actually understand your business.

What’s going well?
What’s not?
Who are you trying to reach?
What are you trying to achieve?
What makes you different?
What are you struggling with?
And what opportunities can we create?

Once I’ve got all of that information, I get it together and turn it into a Business Feedback & Action Plan.

This is a big-picture look at your marketing, along with things you can actually do with the information.

It might include your SWOT analysis, content ideas, things I think you could improve, opportunities you might not have considered, and an action plan for where to focus next.

You can take the document away and work through it yourself...

Or, if there are bits where you’re thinking “yeah… I have absolutely no idea how to do that!” 😂, that’s where I can step in and help.

You might want me to create your content, help with your strategy, manage your social media, or just tackle a few specific things from the action plan. I am happy to do as little or as much as you want and it doesn't need to be forever.

The important thing is that there’s a plan to work with and refer back to whenever you need.

Social media shouldn’t just be about constantly thinking “What on earth am I going to post today and why am I posting it"

It should have a plan, purpose and not feel like its a waste of time.

So yes, I ask lots of questions at the beginning.

It’s because I want to make sure we’re not just doing social media marketing for the sake of it… we want to create the right content for your business to successfully grow. 💜

This is my first and maybe only market of the year, everyone is keeping me so busy I'm not sure I'll manage anymore!

Walking through life with the right people is so important,

Doesn't matter if its friends, family, partners, co-workers... they just have to be the right fit!

The energy, vibes and love they give off is like no other, it's contagious.

Surround yourself with people who help fill your cup up, lift your spirits through the darker times and help celebrate your biggest achievements,

It's such a safe place to be ❤️

Always a good sign after getting married...

It's difficult to explain, but to be there experiencing someone's joy and happiness first hand... its like magic ✨️

I remember as a child I watched this movie, and the saying one of the mermaids always used to say stuck with me through-out my adult years,

Love is the closest thing we have to magic...

Maternity🤰💙

This was a difficult one to edit I'm not going to lie...

The love from this pair was hitting me so hard I could barely see the screen 🥹.

Now I wouldn't say I'm an overly soppy person or anything, but it honestly was too much for my heart.

I first met this pair when they were part of a friends wedding party eariler in the year,

I caught Connor here, looking at Hanna a few times throughout the day, secret glances of what I can only describe as pure love and appreciation.

When I met them both to do this photoshoot over the weekend, Hanna was GLOWING! And I'm sure you will all agree.

This baby is a very lucky wee darling having these pair as parents 💙

Cannot wait to meet your new bundle and thanks so much for trusting me with your photos, this is another one that is going to stay with me for a long time.

🌟 Body Confidence 🌟

This gal had a beautiful attitude when it came to her photoshoot and literally gave it her all,

Even getting into the cold sea 🥶

We had a good giggle through-out and afterwards before any photos were even received I got a message saying how much she enjoyed herself and what a buzz it was!

The best compliment ever!
Someone coming away from a photoshoot with you... confident and buzzing! 🤩

Can't ask for better than that!
