We’ve been to Grannie’s Heilan Hame at Embo so many times, yet only just discovered the ancient cairn on its grounds! 😂 Embo Cairn is a Neolithic burial site dating back around 4,500 years, with two chambers. All those visits and we never knew! Did you know it was there?

Perched atop the 1,329-foot hill is the historic Duke of Sutherland Monument, known locally as "The Mannie," which has overlooked the village since its completion in 1837.
