Thought id share something... about the new events im planning

Photography has been a huge part of my life for years. I spent four years at college studying it, and the thing I’ve always loved most is creating something a little different.

I love building a scene, finding unusual clothes and props, putting things together that maybe shouldn’t work… but somehow do.

That’s really where Weird & Wonderful Events has come from.

I wanted to create photography days that feel like more than turning up, photographing a model and going home.

I want them to feel like an experience.
Beautiful locations. Styled models. Sets and little worlds to discover. Unexpected details and quirky surprises — with plenty left hidden until you actually arrive.

And most importantly, somewhere photographers can come along, be creative, experiment and enjoy photography without feeling like everything has to be perfect.

I’ve realised recently how much I’ve missed the creative side of photography — the part where I get an idea in my head and somehow have to figure out how to bring it to life.

So that’s what I’m doing again.
Creating the things I’d want to photograph myself.
A little weird. A little wonderful. And never quite the same twice. 🖤

Mood board vs reality...

So often we spend hours collecting inspiration, saving images, building ideas and imagining what a photograph could become.

But the magic happens when you stop looking at everyone else's vision and start creating your own.
The mood board is the starting point. The photograph is the story.

One is inspiration. One is interpretation.
What I love most is seeing an idea evolve from a collection of images into something completely unique through my own lens, creativity and imagination.

Sometimes all it takes is one personal project to bring you back to the place where creating feels exciting again…

1 idea.
1 model.
A big city.

No pressure. No rules. Just the need to create something that feels real.

You don’t always need the fanciest camera equipment either… sometimes just a phone, good light, and a bit of enthusiasm is enough to turn an idea into something powerful.

For me, photography has always been about storytelling.

Taking something from your imagination and turning it into a frame that feels more like art than just a photograph.

Stories through a lens.
Emotion. Atmosphere. Meaning.
That’s the magic of creating.

The Reflection made me stop for a moment.

The way light bends, the way memories sit quietly in places, the way old buildings hold stories long after people have gone.

I love how photography can turn something simple into something emotional.

A window becomes more than a window.
It becomes mood, memory, stillness, and thought.
Sometimes the things we pass every day are the things that say the most… if we slow down enough to really look.
