Invergordon has been dubbed one of Ross-shire's most underrated towns on a Highland tourist trail by one super-impressed visitor.

And now there's been an addition to one of its best-known attractions.

🚢 She's only here once — and that once is today! ❤️

👋🏼 A very warm Invergordon welcome to Valiant Lady, making her ONLY call of 2026 today.

⏰ Arrived this morning from Leith bound for Akureyri in Iceland tonight. If the red funnel wasn't clue enough, this is Sir Richard Branson's cruise line, and she might be the most un-cruise-ship cruise ship to visit us all season 🥂

⭐ Look closely at the rail today and you'll notice something unusual — no children. Virgin Voyages is the only major cruise line that's adults-only: every guest on every sailing is 18 or over, no exceptions. No kids' club, because there are no kids.

⭐ There is no buffet on this ship. More than twenty restaurants and eateries, every one included in the fare, everything cooked to order, sit down whenever you like. On a ship this size, that's a genuine rarity.

⭐ Her nightclub carries a little piece of music history. It's called The Manor — a nod to the Oxfordshire manor house Branson bought in 1971 and turned into a recording studio. The first album made there? Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells — the very first release on Virgin Records. The record label paid for the airline, the airline led to the cruise line, and tonight the name sails out of the Cromarty Firth.

⭐ And yes even a tattoo studio on board. Virgin put the first tattoo parlour at sea on its ships, and Valiant Lady has her own, called Squid Ink. Some of today's visitors will leave Scotland with a souvenir they can't lose.

🇬🇧 She's no stranger to the UK, mind — her first-ever sailing left from Portsmouth in March 2022. But she's a stranger to us: this is our one and only chance to see her this year. She slips her lines at 6 o'clock this evening — the waterfront is well worth a visit today if you want to grab a photo.

🇩🇪 Herzlich willkommen zurück, Mein Schiff 2! 👋🏼

🛳️ She's alongside from 7:30am this morning until 7pm tonight, with around 2,700 guests and 1,000 crew aboard.

🍻 If she looks familiar, that's because she's been part of the view since May. This is her ninth call of the year — more than any other ship on the 2026 schedule. She's spent the whole summer quietly slipping in and out of the firth while the one-off visitors came and went.

💭 And she has one left. On 7th September she sails from here for the last time this season marking her final visit of a bumper season! 🏁

📸 If you've been meaning to get a photo of her, you have just two opportunities left to get that camera clicking.
