Established in 1705, the Drovers Inn is one of the oldest licensed premises in Scotland. Located at the northern tip of Loch Lomond it was originally build as a resting place for the highland drovers, driving their cattle to market. The Drovers Inn is also associated with Rob Roy MacGregor (1671-1734) who is believed to have sought refuge there on more than one occasion. The Inn has become known for its stories of ghostly sightings. One such story is of the sighting of a family that reportedly died in a snowstorm while attempting to reach the shelter of the Inn.
