Santa Maddalena Chruch - Dolomites ⛪️

Tucked away in the valley of Funes is the famous village, Santa Maddalena. Home to about 370 residents, known mostly for its symbolic monument, the Maddalena Church.

Lake Carezza 🏕️

The first stop on our Italian road trip was the stunning Lake Carezza. Popular for its stunning emerald colour although at this moment in time, completely frozen. It makes for a wonderful photo with the dolomite mountain range ever-present in the background.

Foroglio - a village frozen in time 🏘️

Foroglio was built in the 15th century and not much has changed since then! The people of Foroglio have recently voted against electricity in the village. Entering the village is like stepping through a Time Machine, with the 110 metre waterfall looming in the background of the village!

Il Spir horseshoe bend 🧲

Il Spir is a viewing platform located near Flims, Switzerland. From this viewpoint, you can see the Ruinaulta Gorge (Rhine Gorge), which is over 400 meters deep and was excavated by a glacier. The canyon and surrounding lakes provide some of the bluest waters in the world!

The Seeburg Iseltwald 🏰

The Seeburg has stood like a small castle since 1907, located in the small fishing village of Iseltwald on Lake Brienz. We had a beautiful day which really brought out the blue in the water, absolutely stunning!

Aescher - Guesthouse on the mountain 🏠

This guesthouse was built over 160 years ago by farmers who needed a place to hang out so their goats could graze, with cable cars out of our budget we had no choice but to hike up! 🏔️🥾
