Ordinary moments matter.

One of the things I love most about children is that they often care about things adults would walk straight past.

For over an hour, my girls handed out sweeties to complete strangers running a marathon.

They took the job very seriously.

And for a little while, a lot of very tired runners got a sweetie and a cheer from two very enthusiastic five-year-olds.

Sometimes people are just kind to each other.

I think the world could do with more of that.

This is what your children will remember.

There's just something about dads and children together that feels completely different.

The rough and tumble. The shoulder rides. The laughs. The endless energy followed by falling asleep on dad five minutes later.

Years from now, nobody will care whether everybody was looking at the camera. They'll care about remembering the time spent together with dad.
