Red Kite (Milvus milvus) feeding at Gigrin Farm, Rhayader
Red-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus lapidarius) near Rhayader
Male Redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus) near Rhayader
Male Banded Demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) on River Wye near Hereford.
Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus) near Whitchurch, Shropshire.

Another photo of the Adder and some video footage.
The head shaking is believed to be used to calculate depth perception. Because snakes have eyes on the sides of their heads, they have a wide field of vision but struggle with depth. By swaying their heads side to side, they change the angle from which they view their surroundings, making it easier to judge distances to prey or obstacles.
