Milky Way over Settle Market Place. A composite image. The townscape shot at 2am, plus the Milky Way earlier the same night from the darker skies of Ribblehead. You can see the Milky Way by eye from the centre of Settle, just not as bright as this!

Something a little bit different. This was the early hours of last Thursday, Perseid meteor max night. I left the camera clicking away in the back garden, 200 thirty second shots. I only caught one measly meteor! But waste not want not, I stitched the other 199 frames together in Sequator to make a star trails image (plus a few plane trails).
I'm not a fan of doing star trails shots - it's so boring having to hang around for an hour or more while the camera does it's stuff. But the trails do highlight the various star colours.
