The drive to Lindos at 4am is an experience in itself. The road winds through the dark with only the occasional goat in the headlights to break the silence.
By the time I reached my position above the village, the first light was starting to separate the sky from the sea. Then the donkeys began braying. The sound echoed off 3,000-year-old cliffs in a way I can only describe as biblical.
