Dogs at Weddings! Should You Include Your Dog in Your Big Day?

As a total dog lover (and proud King Charles Cavalier mum), I can confidently say there’s nothing better than having your dog at your wedding. They don’t care about table plans or speeches; they bring pure joy, love and a spark of fun that makes everything feel even more real. Whether they’re trotting down the aisle, popping up in photos or greeting guests with wagging tails and happy chaos, dogs add something truly special to the day.

So if you’re wondering whether to include your four-legged friend in your celebration, my answer’s simple: Absolutely!! Bring your dog! And if you’re booking me, I’ll make sure every wag, grin and paw print is captured beautifully.

Jenga, Joy & a Surprise Guest: Anna & John’s Woodstock Wedding

Anna and John’s wedding at Woodstock Weddings near York was full of genuine emotion, laughter and small, meaningful details. The morning began with calm excitement as Anna’s dad saw her in her dress for the first time and family gathered with the rose petal confetti they had spent months preparing. It felt warm, personal and full of love.

The afternoon had an easy, joyful rhythm. Guests relaxed with drinks, played Jenga and tig in the gardens and enjoyed each other’s company. Then came an unforgettable moment when their dog Charlie arrived for photos, tail wagging as he ran straight into their arms. His appearance summed up the whole day, happy, heartfelt and completely theirs.

As evening came, speeches, cake and dancing filled the venue with energy and laughter.

Anna and John chose my Diamond Wedding Photography Package, which gave them full-day coverage from morning preparations through to the dancefloor, capturing every natural, unscripted moment along the way.

Did the weather stop our confetti shot? Absolutely not!

Even in full-on monsoon mode, the wonderful guests grabbed their umbrellas and tossed confetti with huge smiles, showering the newlyweds in joy. 🌂❤️
