Simply put, Keir’s E21 is one of my favourite BMW’s of all time, on the surface it looks so simple and clean. But if you see the extensive list of work this car has had put into it you’ll easily see what makes it such a great example.

A near full nut and bolt restoration, hardly anything has been left untouched.

Starting with the obvious, the suspension, BC coilovers all round with a bag conversion to run Airlift 3H management. But he didn’t just slap bags in and call it a day, every bushing that could be polybushed, has been. The top mounts have been skimmed for an extra bit of drop to fully dial in that fit but the thought to fitment doesn’t stop there, the engine has been raised 10mm and the subframe has also had a lift of 1” for peace of mind and longevity of the car.

The entire chassis has been stripped back to bare and sealed to ensure the restored condition of the car lasts, whilst it would’ve been a long and tedious process, if you plan on doing something well and having it for a long time, it’s definitely a good thing to do.

The BBS RM you see here have also gone under the knife, firstly being stripped and painted in a BMW Nogaro silver to keep things appropriate, they then received SRR 2” and 2.5” polished lips to make the fitment exact to his vision with hardware specifically chosen to compliment the car.

The engine has been equipped with ,rather bizarrely, a carburettor from a Ford Capri and a nice polished 2” manifold back exhaust system from Fritz Bits. Because if you’ve got the polished wheels, those shiny details really pop elsewhere across the car. (see also the lovely Nardi wheel)

If I continued to go into all the other details he sent over I would easily run out of space for the caption, (I already have.) He’s also building another engine to go into the car but if you want to see more on that go and give him a follow to keep up with this incredible build.

Oh, did I mention he daily’s this too? Left hand drive and all. He told me he wanted it to drive as good as it looked, and you can really tell he’s gone for exactly that. What a hero.

Hello! Still active and shooting, thought I’d post my coverage and write up of a recent show to here as well as just instagram!

Rollhard 2024, this was my first time attending a Rollhard show. Why I haven’t made it to one before now is genuinely beyond me, the location of Bicester Heritage Centre is such a perfect spot for it.

The huge complex of what once was RAF Bicester with its many brickwork buildings, green spaces and lanes littered with trees makes for an ideal arena for what can only be called a congregation of some of the best builds in the country (and some from beyond).

The variety you’ll find here is staggering, there truly is something for everyone, and also things for almost no one in the greatest way possible, from the humble static mx5 to great big american lowriders flipping switches as they cruise the grounds in a parade lap you’d be hard pressed to find many other shows like it with Players Classic being the only exception.

The quality of builds here was absolutely incredible, you can truly see the many late nights and early mornings that have gone into each vehicle as they sit in one of the greatest locations for a meet I have ever seen.

Photographing a show like this is always a pleasure too as the spectators are so considerate of the photographers in attendance, often stopping to avoid walking through your shot it makes covering the show much less stressful. Shoutout to you if you do this, as a photographer, we all love you for it.

If you can only make it to two shows throughout the year, make it Rollhard and Players Classic. Nothing gives you a kick up the ass to get cracking on with your car like being surrounded by what can only be described as the coolest things you’ve ever seen.

Good evening, today I completed and ordered copies of my newest short run A5 Zine/photo book “North Heaven” consisting of photographs of mostly the Ilfracombe area. It was a serious task finding my 28 favourite photos out of the 2600 I had taken, edited and exported since the beginning of lockdowns but I am very happy with the results.
They will be £15 a copy available directly through me and as always, all shares and interactions are greatly appreciated!🫶
