Remember, when it’s overcast, it’s like a huge soft box in the sky!!

Go use it.

Don’t avoid it, it’s the perfect time to capture that natural lighting and give your clients beautiful images.

Nothing more satisfying than giving a client a result upfront.

So many people struggle with posting content.

When you post, you want to be helping people, advising them and speaking to them directly.

When you just post anything, well it’s just a throw this in and see what happens.

When you write content that resonates with people and gives them solutions to their problems, it’s so much easier to make followers turn into clients.

Use your content to share advice, don’t not post because you’re trying to make a story up.

Photographers:
Spend more time learning about light than what lens to use!

For me, understanding how I can manipulate light and move models to find the best version of it, has taken my business further faster than anything else.

I could easily have one lens, one body and one light and do so much with it.

Keep it simple, learn how to use what you have and get results from it.

Little behind the scenes from today’s studio shoot.

Simple one light set up.

Unfortunately the last photographer cut the paper very short so had to be tight with the shots, however, still managed to get the client some great results.

What are you shooting today?

Sorry for the absolute radio silence I’ve had on this account.

My business after lockdown ended took a very positive turn and has lead to me being booked around the country and now in Dubai shooting some incredible content.

This channel will be back up and running very soon to fuel you all with more info and knowledge in photography.

Thanks to for this photo of me after our desert photoshoot this week.

Will post some of the images very soon.

It’s nice to be back.

One light can simply be enough.
Many people worry about having loads of lights and not concentrating on the model.

On today’s beach shoot, it hit me just how time consuming moving the lights around is when you have 3-4 lights on the go.

To re-set up a shot can take 3-4 mins to grab, move, reposition and get the model in the right place.

Do this 20-30 times, most of your 2 hour shoot is taken up by moving your lights.

So, think about it, keep things simple, over deliver for your client and focus on getting the best out of them.

Always be hunting for good light.

Notice in all types of weather what the lighting is like.

Sunny day, what time to shoot at, what looks to capture at those times.

Cloudy day, where can you shoot, what does the light offer to you.

Man made light, can you use it to add more to your photos.

See, we capture light.
People want to know the settings but if they spend more times looking at light, they will learn faster than ever.

Make sure you learn about light, it will quickly progress your work over any settings adjustment.

5 ways to get the right clients.

1: always DM new followers. Start a conversation and build a relationship. Don’t just DM them saying “Do you want to book a shoot?” It doesn’t work.

2: Regularly post images of the style you want to shoot more of.
If people see what you’re best at, you’ll attract those clients.

3: Reach out to people in the local area. Jump on IG search, go to your area and go to recent post. Find 1000’s of people who could suit working with you and start a conversation.

4: Get them on a call. This is the best way to find if you are a good fit to work together, if they are interested and how to sell them your product.

5: Practise shooting with many types of people to work out who your ideal client is.
When you know your target market it’s easier to advertise too.
If you don’t know you’re ideal client is yet, shoot with anyone you can to work out what you like and don’t like about people’s personalities to find what suits you.
