What a milestone to reach £1,000 raised, Harlan will be leaving for his trip up snowdon tomorrow; the weekend that should look so different he should be meeting and cuddling Isaac and Luca after their due date came and went yesterday but he’s taken on this incredible challenge in their memory, the acts of love that keep them alive in our hearts. 🩵💙

Wow, £435 already raised for the new bereavement suite!
We are so incredibly grateful. This week should be the week we bring our boys home, so honestly, we can’t tell you how much this little spark of positivity means to us — now more than ever.

On the 9th of January 2025, our world shattered. We said both hello and goodbye to our beautiful twin boys, Isaac and Luca, who were born at just 17 weeks—too tiny and precious for this world.

During those heartbreaking days, we were admitted to the Little Footprints Bereavement Suite at Calderdale Royal Hospital. In the midst of our pain, that suite became our sanctuary—a quiet, private space where we could stay together, make precious memories with our boys, and welcome loved ones to meet them with care and support.

That room gave us more than words can express. It gave us time. It gave us peace. It gave us dignity.

Now, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is fundraising for a new, bigger, and even more comforting bereavement suite, so more families like ours can be held with the same compassion in their darkest hours.

We are raising money in Isaac and Luca’s memory to help make this possible.

Please, if you can support in any way—whether by donating, organising your own fundraiser, or simply sharing our story—we would be forever grateful.

We all know someone who has lost a baby. And while nothing can truly prepare you for that pain, having a space like Little Footprints helps carry you through.

The look of pure love, have you ever seen a prouder big sister? 💕🥺

This session was an emotional one, Nadia’s little girl and my little boy are in the same class, safe to say we both shed a tear or 2 this day 🥺.

It was a pleasure to be able to capture your new addition and your sweet family, thank you for all of your love, support and for waiting for me; being so understanding. 💕✨

Good afternoon how are we all?

It honestly seems like forever since I've been in any sort of work mindset, but it's only been 9 weeks since our Twin boys grew their angel wings which when you hear it like that; it's honestly no time at all is it?

Grief is definitely a journey rather than something that I'm going to 'complete' or 'graduate from' living with the loss of our boys is tough.

I was going to add a but there- honestly there's no buts it's the worst.

Today though I went to the studio and photographed a cake smash and you know what? I loved it, it's where my heart is working with kids, it brings me so much joy and I'm positive that coming back is the right thing to do.

That being said it'll be a gradual thing, I don't want to jump in both feet first and then end up emotionally worse off than I already am, so a phased return is the way forward.

I have a couple of shoots over the next few days, if anyone has any questions about bookings please do now feel you can get in touch, there will likely be a slight delay on replying but I will get there.

My next tackle over the coming days/weeks is messages/emails/voicemails/texts, I will work through them and reply to you all. If you feel like I've missed you please give me a nudge.

I have been personal blogging my grief journey, it really helps having a platform where I can share my boys and keep their memory alive.

JBP will remain closed for new bookings, I’m phasing a return in mid March for existent bookings and will contact everyone going forward.
Some days for me are ok but some days really aren’t.

It’s hard.

You as my clients are parents/grandparents you get it and I’m so grateful for the patience you have shown in this time.

Thank you.

I need to heal my heart for a while, in order for me to go forward with my boys in there.
Both for me and their memory.

Those who have gone through this heartache or similar you will understand, if you don’t understand That’s ok; please take it as a blessing, there really is no pain like losing your babies 🥺

Huge thank you to all of my amazing clients for being so understanding through this hard time. I’ve received nothing but love and it’s made navigating this a little more manageable, thank you for the outpouring of love and condolences- they have truly meant the world to us.
For now JBP will remain closed as we get through our Boys funeral next week and I will then let you all know when I’m ready to come back 🤍✨

Kirklees and Calderdale are one of the only ones in the UK where you can have a Hospital funded burial - something that feels like a proper see you later for a pre-24 week gestation baby. So many others don’t get this across the world, along with no official birth certificate or true acknowledgement of their life and that needs to change; yesterday they lost the bill but they’re pushing to fight again, I’ve only seen bits so far as obviously this is so new to us but I will do my best to push the help and voice.

There’s also SO many amazing charities in place across Kirklees and Calderdale and beyond too that have been just phenomenal for us in this journey, helping us make memories with our boys that we would have never dreamed we could have achieved.

I’m going to share more on those in the coming weeks/months/years
