In-home newborn photography.
I often get told by my new families that the dads are particularly unhappy about having their photos taken.
But that's not really what happens here. These are photos of a moment in your new baby's life, where you held them and were absorbed in the magic of fatherhood and the wonder of them, and I quietly captured it.
I can honestly say that you will never regret allowing yourself to be present in these moments, but you may regret not doing so.

Happy New Year
My first photo post of 2026 is a hark back to the summer of 2025.
Apparently last year was one of the sunniest ever and waiting for the blazing sun to calm and sink a little lower, on this family photoshoot, was slightly tricky on a school night.
I'm always a bit of a weather chaser, not only to find the best light for photoshoots but also because I love nature and being outside. I am often up to sit in awe of the beauty of a sunrise and when the sky is clear, I try to find an opportunity to take in the incredible natural wonder of the sunset.
I was lucky enough to share the last sunset of 2025, with my family, stood in the freezing temperatures on top of Devils d**e and it was a particularly spectacular one. The first sunrise of 2026 was shared with far fewer of them but was luckily, a suitably beautiful start to this year.
Good luck with all your hopes and dreams in 2026, I wonder what the weather has in store for us, among a million other things of course!

West Sussex Lifestyle Newborn Photography.
My last photoshoot of 2025 was full of family, colour and love. And I realise that, for me, this is what Christmas is all about.
I have had children in my life for the last four decades and they bring their own special brand of chaos and fill our family life with love and emotions at an intensity unrivalled by most other life experiences.
This whole bundle of joyousness is intensified at Christmas and for a few weeks, a crescendo builds and builds, then finally explodes around us, with a riot of colour, excitement, happiness, tears and sometimes vomit, on just one special day. Its great!
This is Christmas for me. Have a happy one too.

At Home Maternity Photoshoots.
When the weather doesn't play ball or you feel like a little more comfort and warmth, maternity photoshoots, like all my portraits, can take place at your home.
Windows come in all shapes and sizes and the light that they throw is real and raw and I like to work with whatever available spaces there are, below or in front of them, in my families' homes.
And there really isn't any requirement to clean and tidy in honour of our shoot, as we don't need much space to capture the magic of your journey to motherhood.

Autumn Maternity Photography.
Capturing this incredible time in a woman's life is a great privilege for me but combining the variables of the weather, the autumn leaves and the stages of pregnancy, is something I can only attempt with my fingers crossed behind my back!
And when it works, it represents the most beautiful expressions of nature and the beginnings of new life combined.
But if it doesn't work, I will meet you at your home and we can capture the magic in the softness of window light, allowing the focus to shift from your surroundings to your connections with family and home, and the anticipation of your baby's arrival.
Either choice is open to you, my job is to capture these special memories for you beautifully.
