When you’re shooting dance and have no control over the lighting or how the dancers are positioned, that’s where creativity really comes in.

In those moments, you still hold the power to shape light and movement. While some might simply freeze the action and move on, true creatives push their equipment—and themselves—to the limit to capture something completely unique. Something that belongs only to that performance, that moment, that group of children… and can never be recreated in exactly the same way.

To me, that’s what makes it truly breathtaking.

Hands down the best money I’ve ever spent 🙌

The Society of Photographers Print Judging School completely changed how approached images. What I’ve learned from the print samurai Terrie has been second to none, Terrie pours her heart and soul into this and it comes through with this training, it is truly invaluable, and transformed me into much more rounded person.

The whole team’s approach is incredibly fair, ethical, and respectful — not just to your fellow judges, but also to the amazing people who enter these competitions. It’s all about giving every print the score it genuinely deserves.

If you’re even thinking about it, do it. Get booked on ASAP… places go FAST 🔥
