I am a wife to an incredible man who is ever so supportive. I am a self-taught photographer. Over the years, I have taken too many photos to count and after much encouragement from loved ones I started a one-woman photography business, 'Bethia Anne Photography' in January 2013. Taking this step has allowed me to share my talent and enthusiasm for the unpredictable art form of portraiture photograp
hy. I do my best when I know I can be creative, and I don’t have to worry about getting the perfect shot....it usually just sneaks up on you anyway! I love the candid true-life kind of photography, but traditional shoots can be just as fun. I AM A ROMANTIC. I have been told this is reflected in my photos, as is the fun and energy that I strive to generate in my shoots. I’ve been known to hold many a puppet show with the nearest soft toy I can get my hands on to entertain kids whilst trying to capture that smile/laugh that parents so desperately want to see! Much to my amusement, not only do the kids love it – I often get the parents laughing too! And this is what it is all about – life moves too quickly, so my passion involves capturing the moment for you to hold on to forever. My NEWBORN/CHILDREN and FAMILY photography sessions are usually shot at your home or an interesting nearby location, such as your favourite park or playground where I can catch the natural, fun nature of you and your children. I also photograph WEDDINGS. I work closely with my clients – meeting you over a cup of tea (or a glass of wine!) to discuss your day and, if you like, getting you in front of my camera for a fun pre-wedding shoot. This especially works if either of you are not so keen on having your photo taken. It enables you to see how I work, how WE work together and put you at ease for your big day! I recognise my role on a wedding day is not just your photographer but also a family historian. It’s my job to know you – to be able to bring your story to life through the images I take. I am always developing my style, but what really excites me is when clients bring their own ideas to the table and working together to make it into a reality!
