For my 40th back in June, I got this present for my birthday from my parents. For those of you who don't know who or what this is, this little teddy bear is Teddy Ruxpin and it's an animatronic toy and features a built-in cassette player that moves its mouth and eyes while reading stories.
I used to have one when I was a kid and it used to sit on top of my shelves, however one time when I was really poorly, I started to hallucinate and through all of those hallucinations, Teddy Ruxpin started to talk to me.
Cute you may think, but it was far from that because he was telling me that he was going to come down from the shelf and kill me and kept telling me over and over that I was going to be killed by him.
After being terrorised by this, it's always been a running joke, so much so that I text my mam one day saying something like "Mam, please send help, he's got me and he says that he's going to kill me. I'm scared for my life, please help", then waited 30 seconds or so for her to read the text and then sent a photo of Teddy Ruxpin in the toy shop.
So fast forward to the big 4-0 and this is what I got! He's now got pride of place on the shelf in the studio, so when I record videos, he can be there in the corner looking at you all and maybe even one day if you're hallucinating and watching a video, he'll be in the back saying he wants to kill you, but just remember that it's not real, he's just a teddy bear that talks.
