It's that time of year!

Lots of new life out there currently, it was especially great to see this brood of 14!

Anyone seen a larger brood of Mallards yet this year?

I was very lucky to find this Common Sandpiper on a walk along the River Stort.

While I have seen them before, it has never been this close, giving great views, allowing me to really pin down those ID features.

Nice little trip to one of my favourite birding hot spots, Abberton, namely the causeway.

While the target was the Bean Goose amongst the large multi-species gaggle, we also got some great views of this Smew, Great Crested Grebe, and this displaying Goldeneye.

Well, I couldn't just do one whale watching tour while in Iceland, so I booked another one for the next day, this time with . We were on a much larger boat (with a bar), which provided great panoramic views of the fjord and offered a more top-down view of the whales. We spotted two different and even some Whales on our return.

Had an unforgettable adventure with in Iceland’s longest fjord, Eyjafjörður. The small-group RIB tour put us right at water level, making the whole experience feel intimate and exhilarating. Skimming across the fjord’s glassy surface with the wind in our faces, we were rewarded with incredible, up-close encounters with several majestic humpback whales, so close you could hear the blow and see the water beading on their backs. An absolute must-do for anyone visiting North Iceland!
