Apologies long post Alert!
I’ve only gone and done it - 5 Stone! 31.75kg! I said I would do it and nothing was going to stop me! Feeling rather emotional right now! Anyone that knows me knows that I lost a lot of weight about 6 years ago - it started to creep back on after dealing with several family bereavements / stresses in life and I knew I had to take action, before I put all the weight back on. I managed to get back to where I was 6 years ago myself, getting back to my healthy habits or 80/20 rule! Then I set myself a bigger challenge, a six pack for my 50th! Well I’m 49 this year and well on my way to achieving that goal. It’s great looking good aesthetically, however my blood work reiterates the importance of diet and exercise. I want to thank client / coach for looking after me for this prep. There are 1000’s of coaches to choose from, each one works a different way but after months of quizzing Steve when he brought his clients for shoots, I knew he was the one for the next phase. We decided on a food plan for this prep, he ensured it was tailored to what I like (that’s always why diets fail, eating stuff you don’t want to or don’t like to) this then isn’t sustainable! Steve made it really easy, adding in things like burgers / bacon / bagels / dark chocolate / protein yoghurts, so lots of yummy tasty food that is sustainable moving forward.
A special thank you to my rock / my biggest supporter, my wife! Thank you for supporting me all the way and allowing me the time to dedicate towards my goal. I know you have missed your take outs! 🤣
It’s now time to relax for a couple of weeks and enjoy some holiday treats! It’s been 14 weeks of dedication, 0530 am power walks / push / pull / leg gym sessions! It’s not been easy - started the year with 2 broken ribs, then bicep tendonitis and now shin splints but no matter what injuries were thrown at me I found a way around them! If I can do it, anyone can!!! You just need to want to do it more than anything! Find that right head space and conquer your goals no matter what they are! Chase progress not perfection!
