We hear a lot about plastic pollution in our oceans and it can be difficult to understand the impact until you see a sight like this. Just about every nest in this colony of Gannet (Morus bassanus) at is strewn with remnants of plastic rope which the birds will have collected during their foraging trips out to sea.
