Last year I won Best Female Photographer at the Northwest Wedding Awards and then I went back to my room and cried. Not because I wasn’t grateful but because I let my own imposter syndrome take away from such a huge moment.

Today I got the email and smiled because I know I deserve to be there. I’ve poured hours upon hours into what I do and not just the photography and editing side of it. The emotional intelligence it takes to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Pictures are part of our history a moment in time that can be kept forever. And in a world where nothing stays the same, that is so special.

I have never spent a penny on ads or pushed anyone into booking. I’ve just been myself 🤍

My little business is a dream come true so here’s to backing yourself and standing tall for everything you’ve worked so hard for 🥂✨

There’s a side of wedding photography people don’t always see.

The pressure, the weight of knowing you’re capturing moments that can never be repeated, unpredictable weather, changing light, settings, equipment, editing... and the constant comparison to others.

At times, it can be really hard.

I’ve worked so hard over the years and poured everything into my work. And I’m still learning as I go.

From picking up a camera in 2009 to where I am now. I’ll never forget the people who trusted me from the start.

Every kind message, every tiny bit of support means more than I can put into words. It’s this that keeps me going through the self-doubt.
