I recently worked on a project for Magneto magazine to shoot the actual race cars, that won the Ford vs Ferrari battle at Le Mans in 1966.

Sixty years after Ford’s legendary 1-2-3 finish at Le Mans I was asked by Magneto Magazine to photograph their latest cover - revealed here - as the three victorious GT40s that inspired the Hollywood film Ford v Ferrari were reunited and driven together for only the second time since 1966 ahead of their appearance at Goodwood Festival of Speed

I had these lightweight carbon fibre handles from my DJI Inspire 2, that I wanted to be able to use with one of my Cinewhoops.

We mocked up a design in CAD, compatible with the rotating locking mechanism, 3D printed a pair, and attached to the drone.

They can now be fitted / removed in seconds, and will now enable us to do hand catches and launches, so we can transition to close up handheld shots, before flying away again.

Awesome shoot last week with at ! Check out this super creative edit, of the X5 fitted with off-road tyres. I got the chance to put the inspire through its paces, with some FPV too.

This is one of my favourite X8 FPV drones… it has 4 x motors on the top of the arms, and 4 on the bottom. Typically it carries a RED Komodo or Sony | Professional Europe FX6 on the higher end productions I am involved with.

Recently I was commissioned by Magneto magazine to accompany Sam Chick shooting this stunning De Tomaso Vallelunga on location in Yorkshire.

I couldn't wait for my copy of the magazine to arrive! I even got to choose from three beautifully designed front covers... and whilst I should have chosen the one with the historic Lotus F1 car, I'm a sucker for a Martini livery!

It was lovely to be credited as one of the contributors, and even mentioned in the 'Making of Magneto' section at the beginning of the magazine.

Petrolheads and photography enthusiasts, this edition is well worth a read!

Thanks to Sam for such great art direction on the day, as well as beautifully retouching the images in post 🎨
