A bit of a day to forget for me to be honest. A multitude of bad starts essential ruined my last 3 rounds.

Heat 1: Start 1st, Finished 1st
A bit of a slow start but I managed to convert the pole position to a win, however I was struggling for grip with the kart.

Heat 2: Start 2nd, Finished 3rd
I started second behind teammate Simon Smith, however I had a poor start as my kart bogged, going into the first hairpin I ran out of room on the exit so had to let off and and immediately lost a position. After the 2nd lap I had the pace but Simon did a perfect job of putting his kart on the defensive line so I had to settle for 3rd.

Heat 3: Start 5th, Finished 3rd
Probably my luckiest race of the day despite starting in last place. An okay start but a bit of melee ahead at the chicane gave the run up the hill. I tried a move at the top hairpin which didn’t quite make it stick. However contact ahead gave me a chance to send it and pick off a position and slotted in to 4th, I tucked up behind 3rd for a lap then going into the bottom hairpin the driver ahead was on the brakes a bit early so I sent it on the inside to take 3rd. I was a long long way back from the leaders, I had decent pace to close the gap but ran out of laps to make a challenge.

Heat 4: Start 4th Finished 4th
Terrible, I couldn’t see the starting lights coupled with bogging down led to get me a really poor start and I lost a position and down to 5th. With nothing to lose I made a borderline move into the esses to recover a position and move up to 4th. The rest of the race was quite uneventful and to be honest I didn’t drive particularly well.

B Final: Start 5th, Finished 4th
Unfortunately I forgot to start the camera so no footage for this race. I started well and kept with the pack, everyone was on form but I was gifted a position ahead when the drivers ahead had a little contact which gave me a chance to steal a position towards the end of the race.

Fourth and final drop of images. As I was racing in the C final it meant I couldn't take any images and I was preoccupied during the B & A finals. Sorry, next time I'll make sure I cover all finals I'm not racing in.

An amazing event this weekend run by for Round 1 of the Castle Combe Karting Championship. Kudos to Luke and the rest of the team, it ran super smoothly and the layout tweaks kept us all on our toes.

Whilst I was racing this weekend you may have noticed me pulling a double shift as driver and photographer.

I took about 1700 photos of the event and covered the finals in the morning and various heats and finals in the afternoon.

I have uploaded everything I have that wasn’t a technical duffer or a duplicate and I’m offering them up for a small fee. I’m not aiming to make a profit on these but purely to cover the costs of hosting the images online. I have priced them pretty low and feel it’s fair for what you are getting. For the fee you will get the high resolution image without a water mark and you are also free to use the purchased images as you see fit, on social media or whatever, they are yours to do as you please but if you can credit or tag me that would be appreciated.

If you want more than 5 images drop me a message as I’m happy to work out a reasonable discounted fee for all of the photos of you.

Keep your eyes peeled for some new YouTube after a bonkers 4 days on and off the track (quite literally).

- Head to head with my front right wheel - scary!!

- A P7 finish in the final race at Teamsport Bristol GP1.

- A new personal best at Whilton Mill.

- An exploding radiator (not fun)!

- A big accident resulting in a broken axle, a visit to the medical centre and mild concussion (Very scary).

- Pulling a double shift as driver and photographer.

- P8 finish at Castle Combe Karting Championships Round 1 (P2 in Masters).

After several weeks of being ill with covid I dusted off the cobwebs at the Teamsport Bristol members social night.

No stellar lap times but it was good to get some track time ahead of round 3 of the winter championships!
