I'm struggling to find the words to sum up the tragic events at Oulton Park yesterday.
The loss of Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson is utterly devastating. Two young men, both talented and brave, doing what they loved. My thoughts are with their families, friends, and the Rapid Honda and Astro JJR Hippo Suzuki teams. I can't even begin to imagine the hurt you must be feeling right now.
I'd also like to wish Tom Tunstall, who remains in hospital in a serious condition, a speedy recovery from his injuries. Likewise my thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone involved with SRG Ducati.
To the other riders involved - Carl Harris, Max Morgan, Cameron Hall, Freddie Barnes, Morgan McLaren-Wood, Lewis Jones, Corey Tinker and George Edwards - whether you're dealing with minor injuries or unhurt, I can only hope that you're all surrounded by support as you begin to heal both physically and mentally.
To Stuart and his team in Race Direction, the marshals, medics, and those first on scene, thank you for everything you do for the sport. It wouldn't have been easy dealing with such a catastrophic incident.
Credit also to the TV Director for TNT who immediately cut away from the scene. This hasn't always been the case with broadcasts of incidents in other championships, so credit where it's due.
