Hiroshi Sugimoto at the Hayward Gallery today in London (last day of the exhibition and I didn’t want to miss it)….

The exhibition was good and I’m glad that I dragged L&W to it, even though Will sat down halfway through and started looking at his bloody phone…?! 😫🤦🏻‍♂️😹🤨

I tired to explain to them about the long exposures and why the photographer took the pictures, the camera he used, film etc…. And with the cinema series why the screen was Brigh white and over exposed…. Now sure if they really understood it all… but I enjoyed the exhibition and the black and white prints were beautifully printed…. Was tempted by the exhibition catalogue, but at £38 that was a bit pricey for me at the moment…..

Prints from a recent family shoot that I did for a lovely young family. It was wonderful to see Katherine and James again as I photographed their wedding 5 years ago at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton. It was also lovely to meet their son as well….

Me and ‘Max’ from several years ago now, in fact I think that this was taken when she had just become part of the family… I don’t see her as much as I’d like to now, but still love this beautiful hound as much as when I first saw her…..

A set of prints that I was asked to make by a very good client of his two children who I’ve been photographing once a year for the past 3 years. My old Epson printer started playing up and so I had to go and buy a new printer, I chose the new A3+ Epson printer and I can say that the results are very good, especially on black and white prints. Printed on to the beautiful Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Pearl that is an archival 100% cotton paper that feels like the old double weight black and white fibre based papers that I used to print on at Art College in a Bournemouth. The new inks are supposed to be archival for up to 200/300 years, not sure who will be around to view them then though...? 🤔😳🖨

Making a set of prints for family photo shoot client. I’ve been asked to photograph his two children for the past couple of years... and have another family photography session with them this Saturday.

Printing today some photographs from last Years session onto Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Pearl using archival inks on my Epson printer. Beautiful black and white prints..... so much better than all the other papers that I’ve used over the years...

William enjoying the sunshine ☀️ in the lovely little park near to my flat. The trees, plants and Wild Garlic and the walks outside in this park have helped me and my two young children to stay sane during lockdown. It’s been lovey to see everything come into bloom during spring and early summer.
