‘nd some random thoughts/
notes of an emigrant
I’ve been everywhere/
nowhere for 9 years
I’m a master of mimicry
A master of transforming into the same thing
I can greet you in 15 languages
But can only speak two

And it’s hard here
And it was very hard there
And it’s not getting easier
But it’s getting better
I just want you to understand

I always give my heart
As a whole
Not a piece
There are no half-risks
Every time,
give it all,
as if I’m copying it
And that makes me the strongest
And
The weakest person in the world
And where they hold it with care
I ask to be told silly things
I say
Tell me difference
Between
Lad
Geezer
Bloke

And where it’s broken,
it’s shattered entirely
And that’s happened here too
And I think
Of myself
I’m the largest person
I’ve covered continents
I am an elephant
ELEPHANT
And I’m killed by
A fly
A small foolish man split
the Great Wall of China
with a toothpick.
But it’s fine

I’m having fun
Fun you couldn’t have ever imagined
I drink like there’s no tomorrow
Someone once told me that about Russians
Russians drink like there’s no tomorrow
Because there is no tomorrow for us!

There’s a red marker cross in my passport
And a letter
Saying:
“You’re traveling suspiciously
Stop it “
And now
I’m running along the embankment in panic
Worried they didn’t stick my photos to the walls
But they tell me
They’re not there
They’re up high
Look up!

Many dreams have passed since the one I wanted to remember and put on paper.

But I think it doesn't matter! You know. it doesn't matter at all! All your dreams, you may think, are about different things; But all my dreams about you - are about you only. You know what I mean? And I'm never saying that I dreamt of

a Forest
⠀
a Tree
⠀
a House
⠀
I'm only saying I dreamt of you.
And I love these dreams a lot. Because we "see" dreams. We say "to see dreams" like "to see an old friend” or “to see a good movie”. And I can't see you in any other way anymore;
And there, we look completely different; and then the form of those becomes some sort of an entertainment, a background of fun, like a park where we could have walk one day; or an ice cream flavour

There, I saw you when you crossed the very street where I grew up, I saw us old, happy and sad
I saw you being a very serious professor and myself being a cowards
I saw that we were birds and whales and tiny little ugly insects
And I hope to see you again

I am writing at once from a thousand places,
I am here in Zanzibar now
And my passport is somewhere out there on the big land, deciding the fate of my next journey

Sometimes I go with my mother to the main road to buy breakfast, we collect old Japanese and Korean newspapers, that they use to pack the food I started taking pictures of them, I don't know why yet
But it seems natural and right, something I haven’t felt in a while, so I can’t resist, you know
On the beach, when Maasai ask me about my age,
I always say different number
Because they always ask the same thing

When older - they say I look young
When younger (much younger) - they say I look like a proper woman
I like that !
The one I was speaking to today said that he did not know how old he was, that he was born in the forest and had never been to the hospital
I said that I'm the same, but vice versa

Sonya, my little girl, teaches me Swahili, I ask her «  how do I say that your are at school and I am waiting for you? »

Dada yangu yuko shuleni. Ninamsubiri.

It looks like her hair will definitely never get dark under this Sun.

I know that the tool should not determine what you produce or create. at least, they say so. But my new little obsession, still very clumsy and timidly lying in my hands, seems to have breathed some life into what I thought I forgot.

Many Thanks to my wonderful friend ._.cutter who convinced me to get it. my new companion and living memory of Vietnam.

In the photo, my love and our favorite secret beach, both of which are now very far away.
