Lunchtime… this deer was so close to the path and not interested or bothered by me at all (which was strange as I had the dog with me) - sat there munching away no more than 5 meters away - it was lovely to be able to walk past and leave it in peace (and grab a few shots)… I do love my dog walks!

Little bird, big voice…

So yesterday I went out to try and photograph the elusive bittern - no luck but lots of booming going on. Did I come away disappointed - no because I got this little beauty who sat, posed and sang for me. Love these little birds and have been after a shot like this for so long - you hear them everywhere but quite often never see them. It seemed unusual for this one to sit happily for me… I even got so close I hit the minimum focus distance of my lens! What and awesome morning and wonderful weather!
