Let’s be honest, AI is changing the creative landscape.

It can generate images in seconds, check instantly and mock up ideas faster than ever. I’ve used it myself to produce this quick packaged action figure visuals and this particular idea has unexpectedly gone viral in just a few days.

It’s a powerful tool, but it comes with caution. Overreliance on AI has the potential to disrupt entire industries, especially photography and design. If it becomes the default shortcut, what happens to the skill, the craft, the creative process?

Used wisely, AI can enhance creativity. Yes, it speeds up admin, those repetitive tasks that eat into the time we could spend creating. It helps explore ideas rapidly, letting us test and iterate without burning time or budget and it can get us a draft version faster, so we can focus our energy on refining the work that matters most, but it shouldn’t replace the human instinct, originality, or creative judgement that makes work truly meaningful.

This image, for all its speed, is far from perfect. No matter how much I guided it on the finer details, it just wouldn’t land. That says a lot.

Creativity doesn’t have to die in the age of AI, but it does need us to stay intentional, curious, and in control of the tools, not the other way around.

Granted CAA Operational Authorisation Renewal for 2025/26!

London Drone Works is proud to announce that we have secured our fourth consecutive Operational Authorisation (OA) from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), reaffirming our commitment to safe, compliant, and high-quality aerial operations.

Now in our sixth year of drone operations and with over 300 incident-free flight hours, this renewal follows an in-depth assessment and continuous evolution of our UAS (Drones), Operations Manual, Maintenance Procedures, Remote Pilot Competency, Risk Assessments, and Flight Logs. It also reflects our successful completion of a CAA regulatory audit in 2024, demonstrating our ability to meet and exceed industry safety and compliance standards.

Unlike lightweight consumer drones, operating larger and more complex UAS, particularly those used for specialist aerial imaging, surveying, and commercial applications, requires a CAA Operational Authorisation. This ensures that operators follow stringent safety protocols, risk mitigation strategies, and airspace regulations, enabling missions in both the Open and Specific Categories, including controlled and congested areas including London.

Originally operating under a Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO), we have maintained seamless regulatory compliance since before our founding in 2021. From high-resolution aerial imaging to precision video acquisition, we remain dedicated to providing expert UAS services without interruption.

First visit to London for the majestic and timeless 122-metre superyacht KISMET built for a longstanding client. Designed by , KISMET features sleek and elegant exterior lines and a leaping jaguar bow figure, adding a touch of grandeur to her profile.
The sophisticated and refined interiors are by Design. Key highlights include a 7-star wellness suite, complete with a hammam, sauna and cryotherapy chamber. There is also a private treatment room equipped with a massage table, waterfall shower, and chromotherapy bathtub. KISMET also has a state-of-the-art gym and yoga studio, a Nemo cinema on the lower deck featuring a 150-inch television, and an underwater seating area. KISMET is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and technical systems characteristic of all Lürssen yachts. She features a cutting-edge hybrid powertrain combined with a full-electric mode, positioning KISMET among the world’s most powerful superyachts.
