In 13 years, it hadn’t happened. But, it did on Friday. My first wedding during a national storm. But Storm Babet wasn’t the only strong force at play. So was a whole lot of love and laughter for Christine & Kevan. They’ve been a couple for many years and decided it was time to get married. It was an extra special wedding for me too as I know Christine and her family from the village I grew up in as a kid.
On your wedding day, you’ve got to take it as it comes and enjoy the moment with all who gather to celebrate it with you. And that is exactly what these guys did.

Best Man or Best Men. Groomsman or Groomsmen. On a wedding day, a groom needs his wingmen around him. Typically, they're family relatives or close friends. A decision not to be taken lightly and an honour if asked.
They're the guys who help with getting dressed. They compliment the groom so they all look sharp in kilts or a suit. They might even sneak a wee dram to settle nerves. They're there from morning, even the night before sometimes, through to the end.

It has been a number of years since I worked at Ross Priory, University of Strathclyde - Loch Lomond and as I drove along the avenue, it was as if I had never been away. What a beautiful venue it is, surrounded by gorgeous gardens and of course breathtaking views of Loch Lomond.
Jess & Darren married here on Saturday surrounded by their family & friends. The wedding party included Jess' 3 sisters. One of which had designed the Father of the Bride's kilt in his native Ukranian colours.
There were plenty of smiles and laughter. What a smashing day we all had.
It was lovely to work with after so long.

As a Photographer and Videographer, I am there for you in the lead up to your wedding from managing your enquiry to a contract, to then planning ahead to be ready and organised for your date. I turn up on your day and follow every step, recording and photographing those wonderful moments.
Once your wedding ends, my work continues. Dowloading, editing, uploading! There is a lot of work that goes in to one wedding and when you multiply that by however many clients I have plus all the other things I do in running a business, it feels non-stop.
But no two weddings are the same and that's what keeps it all fresh. Couples are different and want different things.
And when eventually I get to deliver photos or a film to my couples, it feels amazing to be part of something so special.

I was back at Dalziel Park Hotel Golf Club yesterday to be part of Karen & John's wedding celebrations. The ceremony room and reception room looked amazing with beautiful flowers and decor by Thistle flower weddings by Yvonne MacDonald
The ceremony was led by Senga - Humanist Celebrant It has been many years since I have worked with Senga so it was lovely to see her again after all this time. The ceremony had plenty of laughs and emotional moments too.
The garden area for photos, looked splendid in full bloom.
Our bride even changed dresses for the reception, dancing the night away!
Congratulations Mr & Mrs McGinn. Thank you for having me be part of your day.
