Welcome to part one of my location series!

I thought it would be a good idea to create some reels of some of my favourite places to do photo sessions plus some new ideas for locations. Let me know in the comments if there is anywhere you would like me to visit next ☺️

I love Walberswick for the mix of the river then walking through the dunes before you get to the beach. Just those alone make perfect locations for photos but even better when you can have a variety all at once.

There’s plenty of places to eat in Walberswick such as

You can also take a walk along the river over the bridge to Southwold or get the ferry across

If you’re looking for something different Walberswick is also a hotspot for crabbing so why not have a go and see how many you catch? 🦀

Spend my birthday weekend with me 🥳

As it’s a bit quiet on the photography front at the moment I thought I’d experiment and try and post some different content for you all ☺️

We stayed the night at which was so relaxing, loved being able to use the spa facilities during our stay. The shepherds hut was really cosy and perfect for a night away. The food was also amazing!!

Then for my birthday we went to where we had a wonder round all the animals and then had our highland cow experience where we got to meet Hugo and Fiona. It was honestly the best experience as anyone who knows me will know that I love highland cows 😍 then we went back to my parents for a roast before we got home and then it was straight to sleep as I was back to work at 7 the next day 😴🚑

2016 - 2026

A very different post to what I would normally do however, I thought I would jump on this trend and look back to 2016.

2016 was to year I left school (can’t believe I’ve now not been at school for 10 years!!). I had no idea what job I wanted to go into, I always wanted to join the ambulance service but didn’t want to go to uni so gave that idea up and went to study childcare at college. 2016 was also the year I first got a camera and my love for photography started. Also the year where my hair was really curly and it just makes me said that my hair is not as curly anymore (as you can tell from the photos) 😢

Fast forward to 2026 and I am doing the job I always wanted with the ambulance service without going to uni! I continued with my photography and now have my own business which I love seeing where this journey takes me. Me and my partner Matt bought our first house and we done a lot of work to making this house our home (and still not finished). We moved in last year and I’m loving the life we’re making together and can’t wait to see what the next 10 years bring 🩷

✨Goodbye 2025 ✨

2025 was a bit of a quiet year photography wise for me. However I’m still so grateful for every single person to have booked a photo session with me this year! So I want to say a massive THANK YOU to those who did!

I must admit that the reason things have been quieter this year is that I have let things slip and haven’t been as active at posting etc. I had the most amazing time travelling Australia and then once I got back we moved into our 1st home so with all of that I was a bit distracted.

However with all that said I’ve really missed meeting you all and capturing special moments for your family. So let’s make 2026 a better year!! I have Loads of availability so if you are thinking about booking a session feel free to DM me or send a contact form through my website. I’m going to be spending a bit of time tweaking my sessions and prices and having a bit of a change up over the next couple of months so keep an eye out on my socials.

Any mums out there expecting a new little one soon or in the new year?

Why not get a newborn session booked in now?

I offer newborn sessions in the comfort of your own home. My sessions are relaxed and guided by you as a family. You won’t see me wrapping your newborn up and using props, I take more of a natural approach but that doesn’t mean you loose out on all those tiny newborn details!

It’s that time of year again for gorgeous woodland family sessions 🍁🍂

A lot of my sessions tend to get booked for a beach location however autumn/winter is the perfect time of year for those woodland locations. Especially at the moment with the lovely autumn colours or dress up for Christmas and get some cute Christmassy pictures in time for Christmas 🎄

Hey I’m Sophie and this is the face behind Sophie Lauren Photography ✨

I thought it was about time I did a more up to date about me post as the last one was back in 2023! A lot has changed since then!

I am a family and newborn photographer based on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. My photography is natural and relaxed for fun loving families.

When I’m not taking photos I also work full time as an EMT for the ambulance service 🚑

I spend most of my free time catching up with friends which normally involves cake or lunch out (so if you have any food place recommendations let me know in the comments)😂😋 Me and my partner bought our first house last year so have spent a lot of time doing it up and moved in properly in May this year 🏡 you may or may not have seen but I also went to Australia in April which was a dream come true, loved every single second! This photo was actually taken on a sunset boat trip we done in Airlie Beach which was one of my favourite places we stopped at 😍🏝️

My photography has taken a bit of a back seat recently but I really want to get back into it so this is just the start and you will be seeing more of me and my photography in the next coming months 🩷
