Hey everyone!
I’m Hiba, a wedding /couples/ family/ portrait photographer. I was born and raised in a wonderful town by the coast in the North East of the UK, when I then moved to London to study International Relations at University. Thankfully I received my Bachelors degree and went onto work as a Civil Servant for a year!
But aside from academia and the cooperate world I was once in, I’m a Zumba teacher (sometimes), cold water swimmer (often) and a picture taker (always). Ever since I photographed my sisters engagement party when I was 9 years old, capturing beautiful, magical, melancholic and touching photos has been a consistent thread in my life. Only recently, however, have I allowed myself to see it as more than just a hobby. I’m thankful to the School of Photography in Cape Town where so recently lived for 6 months, for igniting that passion inside of me again and giving me the confidence to delve into my passion.
My intention is to photograph love wherever I am in this world. There is unfortunately so much grief in our society, so my wish is to cultivate joy and love through the magic of a lens 🫶🌸
