On Thursday 20th February it was Greenock Camera Club's turn to host the Simpson Memorial Competition. This is a annual inter-club competition between Gryffe Camera Club, Skelmorlie Camera Club, and Cowal Camera Club. Members from all 4 clubs gathered at Greenock Golf Club for the photo slideshow and judging by Dave Ferguson of Falkirk Camera Club.
Having lost out to Cowal Camera Club in 2024, Greenock was delighted to reclaim the trophy for 2025, albeit by the smallest of margins (1 point in it!).

Next year the competition will be held by Gryffe.

It's been a busy few weeks with competitions for Greenock Camera Club. Last week some members attended the Renfrewshire Inter Club Competition, hosted by Gryffe Camera Club. A good evening was had by all and, while Eastwood Photographic Society might have taken the top prize, we were thrilled that Greenock member Chris Gunn, won the trophy for Top Image at the Renfrewshire Inter Club Competition last week for his image "Park Life".

We’d highly recommend going along to one of the railway club’s exhibitions for a look!
