The quarry closed in 1910. Spotting a unique opportunity, local fisherman blasted a narrow channel between the quarry and the sea, creating an artificial harbour in the old pit. Today, the Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy is a 25-metre-deep pool in a mesmerising shade of blue-green.

A small roof inspection carried out. The client had just purchased this property and was interested in the integrity of the roof tiles, we found a small tile in the valley of the roof that had slipped out of place and could cause damage to vehicles or people on the driveway below. These small inspections saves home owners and builders time and money with a very low risk to cause any injuries carrying out inspections.

During the Civil War the Castle was owned by Sir George Carew who declared for the King, but it was garrisoned at different times by both royalists and parliamentarians, and indeed changed hands four times, on at least one occasion following a fierce assault. Buildings on the south side, including the kitchens, were slighted to prevent the enemy making further use of the site. Following the Civil War the Castle was occupied for some years, but eventually abandoned in 1686.
