A personal update ๐งก
Iโve been a little quieter and, much slower at replying to emails than I normally would be over the last few months, so I wanted to explain why.
Back in Feb, I had an assessment for a mole on my back. After hospital appointments and surgery in May, I was given the official diagnosis of melanoma. Unfortunately, my biopsy still showed cancerous cells at the edges meaning I needed a second surgery this month to make sure it was all removed.
The important bit is that I am absolutely fine. It was caught early and Iโm now just waiting for a follow up before hopefully being signed off as cancer free๐งก
Itโs obviously been a lot to process, and alongside quite a lot of anxiety, I simply havenโt had the capacity to keep up with everything as I normally would.
When things felt overwhelming, I prioritised couples whose weddings were coming up, shooting, editing and delivering galleries and making sure those who needed me most urgently were replied to. Shooting weddings has been such a source of joy this year, and Iโve photographed some of my favourite weddings ever.
Unfortunately, this has meant some of you have been waiting much longer than I would have liked for replies, and Iโm genuinely sorry.
This week Iโll be focusing on catching up on enquiries, emails, getting as much editing done as possible and sending out as many galleries as I can before some time off to celebrate our anniversary, switch off and recover๐งก
I have 10 gorgeous weddings left to shoot this year, and if I havenโt already, Iโll be in touch with all of those couples this week to touch base and send over final details forms.
Iโll be a bit quieter on social media (other than wedding sneak peeks). But just to say Iโm still here and working, but I need to give myself permission to step away from the constant pressure of being online for a little while.

And to all of my couples who have been so patient and understanding when replies have been slow thank you. Your kindness and patience has meant more than you probably realise.
